Foto marzo 2007 - Photo march 2007   Ogni commento è superfluo, da notare la penisola formatasi a seguito dell'eruzione. A chi conosce Stromboli faccio notare, come, nella terza foto sopra, la Spiaggia dei Gabbiani, sia stata coperta interamente, dalla parte sinistra della colata. La parete della Sciara del Fuoco, si trova però più a sinistra della colata stessa e non è stata danneggiata, anche per la sua distanza dalla costa. Ovviamente anche La Dorsale del Diavolo, in mare aperto, e la Nuova Sciara e La Sciara di Alexandra, più a sinistra guardando la costa, della Sciara del Fuoco, non sono state toccate. La nuova colata si riconosce facilmente per il colore più scuro della roccia. Altre immagini che danno l'idea della vastità della penisola formatasi a seguito dell'eruzione. Dalle foto della sommità del cratere si nota come sia cambiata completamente la conformazione del cono. Anche le bocche sono ora più in basso, all'interno della depressione creatasi a seguito dell'eruzione. Every comment is superfluous, notice the peninsula formed after the volcanic eruption. Who ever knows Stromboli well, will notice, like in the third photo above, that the Beach of the Gabbiani (Seagulls), has been entirely covered from  the left side of the lava flow. The wall of the Sciara del Fuoco, is located more to the left of the lava flow and wasn’t damaged, due to it’s distance from the coast. Obviously even the Dorsale del Diavolo (Devil’s Dorsal), in open sea, the Nuova Sciara and the Sciara of Alexandra, more towards the left from the coast view of the Sciara del Fuoco, weren’t touched. The new lava flow is easily recognized by the darker color of the rock. Other images that render the idea of vastness of the peninsula formed after the eruption. From the photos of the crest of the crater, one can notice how the shape of the cone completely changed. Even the mouths of crater are now lower, inside the dip created after the eruption.
